About White's Powersports
Established by William (Bill) White in 1952, W. White (Wholesale) Ltd has served
the New Zealand motorcycle industry with distinction ever since.
A real industry identity, Bill was an enthusiastic sponsor of all types of motorcycle
racing and through W. White (Wholesale) Ltd, was the importer and distributor of
Triumph, Yamaha, Velocette, and Vespa motorcycles, Yamaha marine and a whole host
of accessory products.
Bill was quick to capitalise on the booming market for bikes created by the "new"
Japanese brands of the 1960's and de-licensing of imports in 1970 and he opened
a chain of 5 retail outlets over the North Island of New Zealand. Bill sold most
of his commercial interests prior to his passing away in the early 80's.
Today White’s is owned and operated by Keith Larkin, and his son, Kyne. Keith has
over 40 years’ experience in the motorcycle industry, having started work for
Mr W White upon leaving school in 1970.
The enthusiasm for motorcycles and industry commitment begun by Bill remains very
much a part of the company today. W. White (Wholesale) Ltd ("White's Powersports")
holds accounts with every motorcycle dealer, repair shop and accessory outlet in
New Zealand.
Led by experienced sales manager Mr Adrian Cox, the company's representatives call
on all motorcycle and selected bicycle retail outlets monthly both in the North and South Islands.
"Whites" is well established in it's company owned 32,000 square foot warehouse
premises, located in Hamilton City - central to two thirds of New Zealand's North
Island population.
"White's Powersports" represent some of the worlds most famous motorcycle industry
brands, including Shoei, RK and IRC with whom their relationship goes back over
30 years.
